My Year in Review + Why I'm Excited for 2019

It’s been a long December of anticipation and practicing patience as I’ve waited for 2019 to greet us all. This past year, compounded with 2016 and 2017 as a trio of transformation, has been a wild and exciting ride. As I enter 2019, I feel different energy than the prior years. I am not the woman I was a year ago.

This was 100% one of my favorite photos from 2018.

What 2018 Held

Last year, I thought I had it all figured out. I was prepping to launch a course called Kick-Ass Branding. I really thought that was going to be my bread and butter. I was also still working for several other business owners, freelancing and creating marketing campaigns that I had no interest in.

I didn’t realize it until later in the year, but I was so out of alignment and taking actions derived from limiting beliefs about money, security, and purpose. I think we all go through this at the start of entrepreneurship - no doubt, any personal transformation tests our beliefs.

As the months progressed in 2018, I saw manifestations come true before my eyes. My belief in myself started to shift from doubt to confidence. The goals and intentions I had set started coming true lightening fast.

I started teaching for Alo, working with Wanderlust, and launched The Alchemized Life Podcast. I went on my first yoga retreat and made new friends that will last a lifetime. I taught my first workshops this year and threw a yoga festival. I was busy, to say the least.

I’m most proud of myself for constantly pushing my boundaries of what is safe and what is comfortable. I now thrive when I choose to do the uncomfortable action because I’ve been shown over and over again how those steps always turn into rewards.

There were many days in 2018 where I laid in bed and wondered if I was cut out for this. I wondered if it would be easier for me to go back and get a desk job. I had fear-based thoughts that almost sent me on LinkedIn to find something to guarantee income. Almost.

This was the first year I started truly working to connect to my intuition. I connected with other intuitives and healers, channels and psychics, and highly “tapped in” women. I started meditating every single day and found myself working through deep wounds and healing. I didn’t always do it on my own, it was through the containers other healers created that I felt safe letting go and releasing the stories. It wasn’t always easy and there were definitely tears shed.

If I could sum up 2018 in a few words, those words would be:

Healing.

Awakening.

Expanding.

As I step into 2019, I know there is work to do still. I am still healing, but I know I am healed. I know that as I continue to heal, I will continue to heal others.

I know that there is more awakening to be done. I am excited to continue listening, tuning in, letting go and trusting in the voice within me. This year has shown me that voice holds all the answers I need and all I need to do is surrender.

An expansion is coming. I can feel that the most when I close my eyes and ask what 2019 holds. An expansion is coming for me, for you, for everyone. This year holds powerful energy and I’m ready to harness it to create, connect, and continue aligning.

What 2019 Holds

I’m not sure I’ve ever been so excited for a new year. What typically is looked at as a symbol of renewal, second chances, etc. is representative of elevating in my eyes. I’m ready to elevate on every single level. I’m ready to elevate others in the same way.

I’m getting married in April and I am manifesting that this year be filled with continuous travel - to new places and old - where we can continue building our love to new levels. We always find ourselves more and more in love in new places. This year, we’re adding France and Greece to the list - we’ll see where else we end up.

While I love to travel, I am also looking forward to up-leveling our home environment and making the move to Venice, CA. Every time I sit and visualize myself there, my entire body tingles with excitement, I know this is our next step and I can’t wait to be back in LA.

When asked what my values are with my business as I enter the new year, there are three things that come to mind.

Consistency.

Simplicity.

Inclusion.

I’m one that gets excited easily by ideas and is quick to act upon them. This year, I’m trying a different approach and focusing on a few major pillars of connection to all of you. The Alchemized Life Podcast, my events and workshops, my mentorship program, and my online courses. Now that I look at it all on paper, it seems like a lot!

These are the things that light me up in ways I never imagined. I love speaking in front of large groups. I love interviewing incredible people, and I absolutely love connecting with you one-on-one and offering guidance through this noisy world. If you are interested in learning more about any of those things, each tab on my website will give you all of the deets.

As I wrap up this post and this year, I invite you to take the time to do the same with your own experience. What were the major highlights of your year? What did you learn in 2018? What do you want to carry with you into the new year and what will you let go? What are you looking forward to creating? What new magic will this year bring in?

I’m so honored to have your eyes on this blog, to have you a part of this community and to be able to call this my job. If you asked me five years ago if this is what I’d be doing, I’d likely scoff (and have a migraine and tell you to go away, lol). I love you all so much - truly.

Thank you, thank you, thank you and happy 2019!
