One of the things that I pride myself in is my ability to shift out of a negative or low vibration in my emotional state to a positive high vibration. I just don’t like staying low for long periods of time, you know?
I let things go easy.
I’m usually the first in a fight with a loved one to be like “Okay, let’s move on and go watch a movie.”
I don’t marinate in my crappy feelings for long.
BUT… you already know it wasn’t always this way.
Oooh, I used to be the queen of holding resentment. I’d stay in my victimhood for days - weeks even - at a time. I’d let myself spiral downward and in doing so it would be incredibly challenging to pull myself back up.
When you do that enough times, you get sick and tired of being sick and tired.
I finally decided I was done falling into those states and with my determination I began to practice three steps that allowed me to shift my vibration faster and more efficiently than ever before.
Awareness is the foundation of any change so the first step in raising your vibration is acknowledging where you currently are at. Do you feel angry? Tired? Anxious? Out of shape?
What is it that you are feeling right now in this moment?
Usually what I’ll do is close my eyes, place my hand on my heart and ask myself: What am I feeling?
I never accept “I don’t know” as an answer anymore, because saying those words takes my power away. Instead I try and catch the very first description of the emotion that comes to mind and continue asking myself: What am I feeling?
This step is your first step in transformation and is often the hardest step because it means we have to take responsibility for how we feel. When we take responsibility for how we feel, we take our power back.
You can journal these feelings, meditate on them, go outside and move your body. Do whatever you need to do to get clear on the feeling that you wish to move through.
Do you realize how incredibly powerful your intention is when you speak it into existence?
The moment you recognize what it is that you are feeling, you have an opportunity to choose again. You have an opportunity to call out the feeling you want to invite in and set your energy in motion to obtain this new higher vibrational feeling.
Rather than going from 0 to 60 with your emotional state, reach for something that you believe you can have.
For example, if you are stressing out about money, rather than going from “I’m not going to be able to pay any of my bills this month, what am I going to do?” to “I’m making six figures every month and feel good baby!” create a thought that your mind and emotions can believe.
Like: “I know I will have creative solutions present themselves so all my bills will be taken care of.”
Or: “I know I am supported and will pay my bills on time and with ease.”
So look at where you are currently and ask yourself: How do I want to feel?
Awareness and intention is nothing without action. Once you’ve identified how you want to feel, you need to take one step towards feeling that way. What is one baby step you can take towards feeling confident in your body, your finances, or your relationship?
Often we get overwhelmed by the big picture and think we need the entire plan laid out in front of us, but that rarely actually happens. Instead of waiting for the roadmap to appear, take the first step in the direction of that higher vibrational feeling.
Action sends a powerful message to the Universe that you are the real deal and are ready to co-create with universal energy to shift your vibration and rise to the level that you desire. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy, but it does need to happen.
